October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time dedicated to increasing awareness, supporting patients, and advocating for early detection and treatment. At Bend Surgery Center, we are committed to supporting this cause, both through our services and by engaging with our community.

On October 6th, our team proudly participated in the St. Charles Medical Foundation – Run for Hope, an inspiring event focused on raising awareness and hope for those affected by breast cancer. With 25 team members joining the walk, we showed our collective support for patients, survivors, and the community. This event exemplifies the heart of what we strive for — combining compassionate care with active involvement in causes that make a difference.

In addition to participating in community initiatives like Run for Hope, Bend Surgery Center offers a variety of surgical procedures related to breast cancer treatment, including:

  • Biopsies and lumpectomies to remove abnormal tissue while preserving healthy breast tissue
  • Mastectomies for more advanced cases or risk-reducing purposes
  • Reconstructive surgeries in collaboration with plastic surgeons to restore the breast’s appearance

We believe in whole-person care, supporting not only the physical aspects of treatment but also providing compassionate guidance for every step of the journey.

This October, we stand alongside patients and healthcare professionals, committed to the fight against breast cancer. Through early detection, quality treatment, and community involvement, we can make a difference — together.

Join us in raising awareness and supporting the journey toward hope and healing.
