Center of Excellence

Bend Surgery Center is Bend Oregon’s first free-standing ambulatory surgery center. Developed in 1997 by Central Oregon physicians, BSC performs more than 13,000 cases annually and with the completion of our new, larger, state-of-the-art facility, cases are estimated to double.

In the beginning, BSC operated as a small two OR and one procedure room facility, but expansion and diversification was always in the plan. Today BSC has 12 specialty lines, 8 OR's, 6 procedure rooms, in 46,624 square feet of one the nation's largest and most technologically advanced surgical centers.

Accreditation & Physician Ownership

Since 1997, Bend Surgery Center has been Medicare certified and became accredited by the Joint Commission in 1998. In addition, select Bend Surgery Center physicians share ownership or investment interest in the facility—elevating their personal pride in its overall success.

The Experience

Upon check-in, patients receive one-on-one attention from our qualified staff who answers their questions and concerns. Patients are guided through a warm, welcoming check-in process. Dedicated, pre and post op nurses deliver personalized care that optimizes the patient's level of comfort. And physicians conduct all procedures with the support of our well-respected surgical staff, in our modern, state-of-the art facility.
